I've tried AVS window guards on my 3rd gen, but they didn't hold so the rear slats fell off, and the window sensor kept triggering rollback. I returned them for a refund, are Nissan OEM guards trimmed better for in-track fitment? I'd love to hear if anyone found a set that actually works properly

That sounds frustrating. A lot of times AVS guards don't fit right and can mess with the window sensors. Nissan's OEM guards usually work better since they're made specifically for your truck. Some people also have luck with WeatherTech deflectors, they close just fine. Have you looked into those?

I was in the same situation as you with the avs guards and ended up going for the oem ones, best decision ever!
