I came across a video where someone mentioned Nissan updated a sunroof drain part, but they never said what it's actually called. So since watching it, I've been trying to figure out if that part is on the newer Muranos too and from what year they started using it. If you know what I'm talking about, do you happen to know the name or have more details?

Yeah i know what you're talking about, its usually called the sunroof drain connector or elbow. Nissan updated it to help with clogging and leaks. I think they started using the newer version on the Murano around 2019, but its worth checking a parts diagram or TSB to be sure.

@roronoa.zoro yep, the commenter above is right. your newer Murano likely has the updated part. This issue was more common on older models, particularly the second and third generations (2009-2014 and some early 2015-2020 models).
Nissan made revisions to this part over time. The best way to know for sure is to check for a technical service bulletin for your specific model year, or to physically inspect the drain plug yourself if you're comfortable with that.
